Cheerleading Choreographers

Back in 1978, Dave Marquez graduated from Mater Dei High School and returned to coach/choreograph the Mater Dei Pep Squad. Over the next twenty years, Mater Dei was to be a powerhouse in the cheer/songleading arena, known for their originality, synchronization, crowd appeal and 'California Style'. Many national championships were to ensue, cumulating in a winning streak of five in a row for the cheerleaders and four in a row for the songleaders. During this time more and more teams hired Dave for his imaginative choreography, both locally in California, across the US and abroad.

To date, Dave has worked in 29 of the 50 states, abroad in England and Japan, and on commercials and TV pilots. Dave has also worked with many summer camp programs as an instructor or contributing material or choreographing college demos. He has also spoken at numerous coaches conferences. Now into his thirtieth year in the cheer industry, the national championships and choreography awards continue to roll in. In recent years Dave Marquez has entered the judging arena, using his vast expertise to rate programs of all levels. All-Star programs and high schools across the United States continue to Dave's creative choreography to ensure a successful competitive season.
